It’s Friday Folks and We’re Ready for Retail

Happy Friday! We are on to the second weekend of our new reduced business hours, and though they are not ideal for many reasons, they seem to be successfully serving their purpose.  We know the move to reduce our hours is not perfect but we also know that it will allow us to provide our patrons (that’s you) a level of consistency that every customer wants in a business.  We truly appreciate your patience and understanding during the slower times as we work to allow the industry to catch up with the demand.  For now instead of keeping our doors open everyday and clearing out our stock, only to have to close our doors until we have more bud harvested, trimmed, cured and tested, you know we will be open every Friday and Saturday to get you stocked up for the week.  We understand that some would argue that consistency implies being open on a more frequent basis and we hear you.  Unfortunately, it is simply not possible at this point in time where the amount of cultivators that are up and running is very low, and those that are open are still working out the kinks and expanding their grows, just as we are, in an industry that was illegal a few years ago.  The process of growing marijuana itself is quite time-consuming with the minimum time for a crop from clone to harvest at about 3-4 months. Not to mention the requirements put in place by the state such as testing, proper labeling and packaging, etc.  We want more than anything to be able to provide all 100,000 residents of the Fairbanks North Star Borough with the desired amount of herb that they like to consume.  We can say 100% without a doubt that is the goal we want to reach, and we believe we will. In the mean time, we can be sure to be open every Friday and Saturday until we can get back to a full week schedule…  And soon we will be because we are on a constant mission, along with all the other licensed cultivators, to upgrade, expand and improve our cultivation infrastructure so that we can serve Fairbanks the highest quality marijuana at the highest rate possible, to complete our ultimate goal in the normalization of this exciting industry! …. (nailed it!)

Attack of the Clones

We have some exciting news for all you (aspiring) gardeners out there.  This week will mark the first time we have clones for sale at Pakalolo Supply Company! We believe this also marks a huge milestone in the goal of normalizing the retail cannabis industry when you know you can go to the store and buy some cannabis plants for your home or garden.  It puts a smile on my face just thinking about it!  For those of you that don’t know, clones are very young, basically baby, marijuana plants that start out as a branch cut from matured female plants in the vegetative stage.  The cuts are placed into a growing medium with a rooting hormone and are kept very moist until they are fully rooted.  The clones we’ll have in store today and tomorrow are fully rooted in 4×4 inches of soil, slightly below 8 inches tall and ready to be moved into a bigger pot to take on nutrients and a higher wattage light source. In other words, they are ready for adoption by a responsible guardian who can nurture them into adult life where they can have clone babies and beautiful frosty buds of their own one day!

They are so adorable at this age!

This weekend we will be offering both Northern Lights (pictured above) and Girl Scout Cookies clones at $30 a piece for you cultivation pleasure.  You will see them behind our corner counter, right when you walk in the door, glowing in a flourescent aura.  They will be waiting here for you to take them home whether you are an experienced cannabis cultivator, a green thumb that has always wanted to take a whack at cannabis or even a complete beginner.  However, they most likely won’t be waiting very long as we have a very limited supply at approximately 25 total.  It is to be expected as it is a gift that will keep on giving if handled correctly. Not to mention that Northern Lights and Girl Scout Cookies could be considered cult classics… On your mark. Get set! GO!

What’s on the Menu?

This weekend our menu has everything our menu had last week in addition to the return of Cannalope Haze from Subsistence Products a sativa dominant hybrid coming in at 15.5% THC. The following read is from the description on Leafly:

“Like the name suggests, Cannalope Haze is a sweet mix of tropical, melon, and floral flavors. Almost a pure sativa that crosses Haze Brothers Original Haze and a Mexican landrace, this strain is a great solution for fatigue and when struggling with appetite loss.”

We also are featuring Sunrise Garden’s Session Joints which are low-cost, low THC prerolls at 8% THC and a price of only $8.  If you would like to see the full menu please visit our website at www.PakaloloSupplyCo.com/menu.html where you can view our Weedmaps interactive menu and stream the menu that appears on the televisions in store. Thanks for stopping by to catch up and we hope to see you this weekend at Pakalolo Supply Company. Mahalo!
